Exterminate Technician

A skilled Pest Control Technician is required to provide exceptional customer service and maintain a safe working environment.

  • Inspect premises for signs of infestation and damage, identifying potential entry points and areas requiring treatment.
  • Record work activities performed, including time spent on site and treatments administered.
  • Clean the work site after completion of job, ensuring a secure and healthy environment.
  • Document work hours or activities, utilizing digital platforms for reporting and record-keeping.
  • Post warning signs and lock building doors to secure areas undergoing fumigation or other treatments.
  • Assist in directing and/or assisting other workers in treatment and extermination processes to eliminate and control rodents and other pests.
  • Clean and remove blockages from infested areas to facilitate spraying procedures and ensure proper drainage, using tools such as brooms, mops, shovels, and rakes.
  • Inspect buildings or grounds to determine their condition, assessing maintenance needs and requirements.
  • Estimate maintenance service requirements based on site inspections and client requests.
  • Study preliminary reports or diagrams/photographs of infested areas and determine the appropriate treatment type required to eliminate and prevent recurrence of infestation.
  • Evaluate reports or designs to determine work needs and requirements.
  • Set mechanical traps or place poisonous paste or bait to effectively manage pest populations.
  • Recommend treatment and prevention methods for pest problems to clients, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Drive vans equipped with power spraying equipment, safely transporting personnel and equipment to and from work sites.
  • Complete commercial jobs as directed, adhering to client specifications and company policies.
  • Wear correct PPE as provided and follow all Safe Work Method Statements and Company OHS policies.
