The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a 2IC (Second in Charge) in our Brighton East program. As a 2IC, you will assist the Director of Service in delivering an exceptional experience for the children in our care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the creation and implementation of enriching experiences based on the preferences of the children in your program (programming)
  • Support with ensuring your program is compliant with industry regulations
  • Interact with our parents and help them with enquiries wherever possible
  • Engage with the school community, attending events and assemblies when the Director is unavailable
  • Play and have fun with primary school-aged children
  • Co-manage or coordinate during the school holiday program

Requirements

  • You're passionate about kids, have loads of energy, and can just love to have fun
  • You're a strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills and a can-do, positive attitude
  • Ideally, you have previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is not essential - we can train you
  • You have outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • You are looking for stable, permanent part-time hours - up to 25 per week
  • You are qualified or studying towards a Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood and Care
