Senior Associate - Treasury Operations

Anton Murray Consulting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to lead our client's Treasury Operations team in Sydney. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing back-office administration, processing, settlement, reporting, and supporting services to the Treasury Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage ISDA and Swaps Agreements, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Verify and sign documentation related to funding facilities and financial instruments.
  • Prepare monthly reports on borrowings, including Swaps, ECP, EMTN, Break Date, and M-T-M Revaluation.
  • Review and prepare daily cashflow forecasts for Treasury and Reserve accounts, authorizing daily transactions and confirming settlement letters.
  • Administer remittances and receipts for funding-related activities and investments.
  • Ensure timely payment settlement of all Treasury transactions.
  • Monitor incoming funds for outstanding loan repayments and fees.
  • Liaise with local and offshore counterparties and agencies regarding transaction settlement and investigate outstanding payments and confirmations.
  • Implement internal controls, review, and maintain procedure manuals in line with operational and system changes.
  • Supervise Treasury Administration team members, setting goals for achievement and further development.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Financial Management, Economics, or equivalent.
  • Proven leadership and coaching skills, with experience in developing direct reports.
  • Extensive knowledge and ideally 4-10 years of experience in financial institutions, particularly in Treasury middle and back-office areas.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take accountability.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems to enhance work productivity, with expertise in spreadsheets and databases.
