Job Description
As Executive Director of Aged Care, you will participate in the South West Local Health Service Network, ensuring safe, high-quality, person-centred care for all older people. Your key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing a total FTE of approximately 160 and managing multiple sites and teams.
- Leading the strategic direction and governance of clinical and care standards, compliance, and accreditation.
- Managing financial and resource management, including budgeting and financial reporting.
- Engaging stakeholders and the community, including advocacy for consumer-centred care and resident rights.
- Identifying and managing risks and emergency preparedness in aged care operations.
Required Skills & Experience
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Executive leadership experience in aged care, health, or human services with demonstrated ability to manage large, multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong operational and financial management acumen, ensuring efficient service delivery and achievement of financial targets while maintaining high-quality care.
- Proven experience managing resources effectively and leading teams through complex change in alignment with Aged Care reforms.
- Qualifications as a Registered Nurse with current registration with AHPRA.
- Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and contemporary aged care service delivery models.
