We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Pet Training Specialist to join our team on a casual basis at our North Parramatta Petbarn store.

Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a Pet Training Specialist to deliver dog training classes and one-on-one dog training sessions. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs that meet our animal welfare and ethics guidelines. As a key member of our team, you will also receive comprehensive retail training and store procedures as well as in-depth training on our Pet School classes and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver dog training classes and one-on-one dog training sessions;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure their satisfaction with our services;
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales and customer service targets;
  • Participate in ongoing learning and improvement initiatives to enhance your skills and knowledge in animal training;
  • Perform administrative tasks related to training sessions, such as booking and scheduling.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A passion for animal behaviour and training, preferably with positive reinforcement-based training experience or qualifications;
  • A commitment to the care and well-being of animals;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with people of all ages and backgrounds;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines;
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new ideas and technologies;
  • An understanding of animal welfare and ethics principles, with a commitment to upholding our standards;
  • A reliable and flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and public holidays.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of AU$55,000 per annum, plus superannuation and other benefits.
