About the Role
We are seeking a qualified legal professional to represent government and community service organisations in claims involving allegations of abuse of children in care and institutional liability.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with our medical indemnity insurance team, advising on health law litigation, including managing coronial inquiries and disciplinary proceedings against health entities and individual practitioners.
In addition, the role involves managing significant statutory benefits litigation and mentoring junior lawyers.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent government and community service organisations in claims involving allegations of abuse of children in care and institutional liability.
- Work with our medical indemnity insurance team on health law litigation, including managing coronial inquiries and disciplinary proceedings.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications and experience as a lawyer.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong relationship-building skills.
