Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a seasoned Application Security Engineer to drive our security strategy forward. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed robust security practices into our projects and initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in secure development principles, threat modeling, and risk assessment methodologies. They will also possess strong communication skills to articulate security concepts to business stakeholders and developers alike.

Responsibilities will include promoting secure coding standards, conducting threat modeling and application-level risk assessments, and collaborating with external vendors to ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for defining and tracking key security metrics, providing training and mentorship, and fostering a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.

  • Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, Software Engineering, or Cybersecurity, or relevant certifications.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA) and proficiency in Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) and common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10).
  • Ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
