**About the Role**

We are seeking a strategic leader to head our Compliance Investigations Team.

The team is responsible for investigating and ensuring compliance with foreign investment laws, regulations and policies.

As an El2 Director in this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading investigations into complex commercial matters.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to promote compliance with foreign investment laws.
  • Managing and mentoring a diverse team of investigators and analysts.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across Treasury and external agencies to achieve compliance objectives.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in leading teams to investigate complex commercial matters.
  • Qualifications in law, accounting, economics, or finance, or extensive compliance and enforcement experience.
  • Ability to hold or obtain a minimum Negative Vetting Level 1 national security clearance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience with information collection and methodologies to support complex investigations and audits.
