Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investigator to join our team at Private Investigator Northumberland. As an Investigator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of the aviation industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exercising Regulatory Powers: You will exercise the powers conferred on Investigators under Part IIIA of the Civil Aviation Act 1988, taking necessary action to enable the Authority to fulfill its regulatory functions.
  • Investigations and Recommendations: Under limited direction, you will investigate alleged breaches of aviation and related legislation, making appropriate recommendations to ensure compliance.
  • Preparation and Presentation: You will prepare and present detailed Briefs of Evidence, infringement notices, and reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Collaboration and Representation: You will liaise with officers of the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions and other legal representatives, representing the Authority in Court and Tribunal proceedings as required.
  • Interagency Collaboration: You will work with other Government bodies and law enforcement agencies, providing guidance and assistance to assistant investigators and engaging in other duties as directed.
  • Cultural Competence: You will work supportively and cooperatively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, engaging with employees in a sensitive, respectful, and equitable manner.
