About the Role
This is a 5-year fixed-term, full-time position commencing as soon as possible. The School Curriculum and Standards branch is seeking a highly experienced professional to fill the position of Assistant Executive Director – Examinations, Certification and Testing.
About the Branch
This position forms an integral part of the School Curriculum and Standards Division leadership team. The School Curriculum and Standards Division provides administrative and secretariat services for and implements decisions of the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority). The Authority provides quality curriculum, assessment and standards to enable all Western Australian students to become confident, creative learners and active, informed citizens who contribute positively to society.

The Department of Education, Western Australia, is committed to providing high-quality education to all students. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced educator to join our team as Assistant Executive Director – Examinations, Certification and Testing.
Key Responsibilities
As an integral member of the Department's senior leadership team, you will provide high-level strategic advice to the Authority and the Department on emerging issues and ensure there is a strong focus on supporting schools. You will provide leadership and advice on reform initiatives, directions and outcomes-related examinations, certification and testing policies and propose effective actions within the context of the Authority's resources.
Requirements
To be eligible for this position, you will hold a recognised qualification in teaching and be currently registered, or be eligible for registration, to teach in Western Australia.
