About the Opportunity:

A senior procurement officer will drive strategic procurement services aligned with government policies, ensuring effective management of complex projects and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies to achieve organisational goals.
  • Manage procurement projects from planning to evaluation, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal outcomes and advise internal stakeholders on procurement best practices.
  • Prepare and evaluate tender documentation, contract terms, and ensure seamless contract management.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Proven experience in end-to-end procurement, preferably in government or large organisations.
  • Knowledge of government procurement policies or the ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on developing and implementing procurement strategies.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in procurement, business, law, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Experience at the AO6 level or equivalent, with a focus on procurement.
