About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to provide legal advice on various insurance matters, including indemnity, liability, quantum and third-party contribution.

  • Offer expert legal guidance to clients to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant case law and legislative changes to stay ahead in the industry.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to deliver timely, commercial and legally accurate advice.
  • Attend settlement conferences and mediations to resolve disputes effectively.
  • Instruct counsel at court applications and trials to ensure the best possible results.
  • Manage a heavy workload efficiently, prioritizing tasks and delivering services promptly.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to achieve exceptional customer experiences.
  • Gain a deep understanding of client operations and strategy to provide tailored solutions.
  • Nurture prospective client relationships to drive business growth.
  • Stay current with professional development requirements and manage MCLE obligations.

About You:
  • A minimum of 4 years PQE (Post-Graduate Qualifying Experience).
  • A strong desire to be a valued member of a cohesive and down-to-earth team.
  • Excellent work ethic and problem-solving skills to tackle complex challenges.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A genuine commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Previous experience in Business Development and a natural ability to build strong client relationships.
  • The capacity to manage client expectations and run matters autonomously.

  • A clear and concise communication style.
  • Experience in managing workers' compensation common law claims is highly desirable.
