Electrical Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Engineer to join our team at Mackay Sugar. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for our sugar mills and other facilities.
Your primary focus will be on ensuring compliance with Australian and internal standards, while developing safe and efficient project designs. You will work closely with our construction team to negotiate work schedules, capture SAP master data, and maintain an accurate project risk register.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of electrical safety and associated standards. You should also have experience in project design, commissioning, and quality planning, as well as a thorough knowledge of Microsoft applications and maintenance management systems.
We are looking for a proactive individual who is able to identify opportunities to challenge themselves in a compacted work schedule. You will be instrumental in mitigating business risks by fostering cost reduction and work control through standardization, effective project designs, and applying robust work management principles.
Requirements- Trade Certificate and Associate-Degree, Advanced-Diploma AQF level 6 in Engineering with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a technical role.
- Bachelor AQF level 8 in Engineering and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a technical role.
- A thorough understanding of the Electrical Safety Act, and the associated electrical standards.
- Experience in and knowledge of the raw sugar manufacturing process is well regarded but not essential.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft applications and Maintenance Management systems including Microsoft Office Suite and ERP applications (SAP).
- Strong Demonstrated WHS & E knowledge.
