About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Engineer to join our team at Mackay Sugar. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for our sugar mills and associated infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop safe and efficient project designs that meet Australian and internal standards
  • Negotiate work schedules with site personnel to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Capture SAP master data and develop commissioning and quality plans
  • Maintain an accurate project risk register and collaborate with the construction team
About You

We are looking for a proactive individual with a strong background in electrical engineering and project management. You will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a technical role and hold a Trade Certificate and Associate-Degree, Advanced-Diploma AQF level 6 in Engineering, or a Bachelor AQF level 8 in Engineering with a minimum of 3 years' experience.

You will have a thorough understanding of the Electrical Safety Act and associated electrical standards, as well as experience in and knowledge of the raw sugar manufacturing process. Strong computer literacy in Microsoft applications and Maintenance Management systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and ERP applications (SAP), is also essential.
