Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Reliability Manager to drive operational excellence at our Cheltenham site. This position will lead the reliability transformation over a significant period, reporting directly to the Manufacturing Operations Manager for the region. The ideal candidate will demonstrate resilience and thrive in complex team environments, steering our culture from reactive maintenance to proactive and preventative strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide, mentor, and oversee a multifaceted maintenance team, promoting a culture of strategic planning and asset optimization.
- Facilitate the implementation and effective utilization of MEX for maintenance management, ensuring proper configuration and usage.
- Collaborate with various departments to swiftly resolve operational challenges and ensure the continuous functionality of High-Pressure Laminate (HPL) production lines.
- Develop and implement maintenance and reliability strategies to improve asset availability and identify opportunities for reliability enhancements.
- Manage a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance program with an active schedule to maximize asset performance.
- Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures, fostering a culture of health and safety as a primary objective.
- Initiate and support Continuous Improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining processes and enhancing reliability.
- Oversee project management for engineering initiatives, such as installations or upgrades, coordinating with safety teams and suppliers to achieve optimal results.
Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will possess:
- A strong history of leading complex teams, with demonstrable experience in managing intricate team dynamics.
- Expertise in implementing significant reliability initiatives, guiding the transition from reactive to proactive maintenance.
- A background in mechanical, electrical, or industrial disciplines, complemented by a tertiary qualification in engineering.
- Robust project management capabilities for overseeing small to medium engineering projects.
- Outstanding leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems, such as SAP or MEX.
- Possession of relevant tickets, such as Forklift, Elevated Work Platform, and Work at Height, is advantageous.
