Job Title: Litigation Specialist

We are seeking a talented litigation specialist to join our commercial law team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer with sound litigation skills to work across a wide range of disputes including construction matters, property disputes, and other complex legal issues.

The role offers a chance to work closely with a director providing valuable mentorship and a collaborative work environment.

About Your Team

Our law team consists of over 40 staff members providing services across Litigation, Migration, Wills & Estates, Property, and Commercial.

Responsibilities
  • Handling a diverse range of disputes with a specific focus on insurance law, construction matters, property disputes, and other commercial litigation
  • Conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, and preparing case files for court proceedings
  • Collaborating with clients and internal stakeholders to develop effective litigation strategies
  • Attending court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations on behalf of clients
  • Providing legal advice and guidance to clients on complex legal issues
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1st - 2nd year lawyer experience with strong litigation skills and some experience in front-end construction and contract drafting
  • Knowledge of insurance law and experience in insurance litigation related to coverage disputes
  • A willingness to engage in a wide range of commercial disputes often involving real property
  • Motivation to progress quickly to an Associate role
  • Good client and practice management skills
  • A willingness to take on challenges and value teamwork
