Inventory Management Specialist

The Inventory and Materials Management Specialist plays a pivotal role in providing direct output support to the Manager: Regional Supply Chain through establishment and maintenance of effective inventory management practices.

  • Develop and implement optimized stock holding strategies for inventory materials to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory classification of materials based on criticality and inventory type.
  • Analyze usage trends and seasonal fluctuations to inform inventory management decisions.
  • Draft comprehensive reports as required, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly updates.
  • Support additional tasks and responsibilities as delegated by the Manager: Regional Supply Chain.
  • Identify opportunities for common supply across operational assets and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Manage and run the MRP process to ensure seamless inventory replenishment.
  • Monitor and manage the repairable/rotable process across operational assets to optimize material utilization.

  • A proven ability to verify and analyze data with precision.
  • Prior experience in inventory control/management, preferably within the mining industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to liaise effectively across teams.
  • Demonstrated experience working with SAP and familiarity with Oniqua Analytics.
  • A strong understanding of supply chain operations and material management frameworks.
  • Intermediate Excel skills for data management and analysis.
  • Familiarity with Repairable/Rotable processes and component lifecycle management.
