Job Title: Senior Commercial Project Analyst
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Project Analyst to join our team at MUFG Pension & Market Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the finance team at all stages of the project lifecycle, including business case development, forecasting, costing, reporting, and governance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work closely with portfolio managers to drive the financial forecasting of large projects.
- Present financials, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders.
- Assess project profitability and alignment to MUFG Pension & Market Services goals.
- Ensure robust processes are in place to support accurate and timely reporting of projects.
- Ensure adherence to MUFG Pension & Market Services policies when accounting for projects.
- Work with Project Managers to address any adverse variances when they arise.
- Drive and support the planning, project forecast, and accounting of large projects.
- Participate in the month-end process and other ad hoc tasks as required.
- Work closely with the Business Planning and Analysis and Financial Control team.
- Build robust governance and control through accurate and timely reporting on projects.
- Highlight commercial project risk considerations and insights to internal stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.
- Identify opportunities to drive innovation and improvements in our processes, products, and services.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of project accounting experience along with Financial Accounting.
- Experience in or knowledge of the following areas is essential: Project Accounting, Financial Standards, Process reengineering, Strong MS Excel Modelling skills, Management and Financial Reporting.
- Personal Attributes: Great team player and self-motivated. Problem-solver, committed and analytical thinker, able to assess and interpret information from various sources. Excellent inter-personal and influencing skills across various business units and areas. Strong numerical skills, business writing, and communication skills. Attention to detail and able to work in tight timeframes.
