Job Overview:

The role of Workshop Manager is a critical one in driving operational efficiency and team performance across our Perth and Karratha workshops. As a key leader, you will be responsible for coordinating works and implementing strategies to optimize resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate work schedules to ensure efficient use of equipment and resources
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on customer requirements, component performance, product quality, and warranty
  • Oversee the rebuilding of components allocated to the Perth Workshop
  • Maintain a support function for site-based maintenance teams addressing breakdowns and repairs
  • Foster positive collaboration among all workshop staff

Requirements:

  • A deep understanding of power generators, power generation processes, design, modification, maintenance, and service
  • Previous experience working on Gen sets delivering power ranging from 30KV to 2000+
  • Experience operating and maintaining plant in remote locations
  • Proven ability to manage workshops, drive productivity, and maintain quality systems
  • Experience implementing work tracking systems with clear profit and loss forecasting capabilities
  • Ability to conduct gap analysis to drive operational efficiencies
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building effective relationships and teams
  • Ideal experience in Simpro
