The Security Officer role is a key position that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities include:
- Protecting property, people, and assets by delivering high-standard security services in line with Assignment Instructions (AI) and client expectations.
- Carrying out all site duties as outlined in AI.
- Staying up-to-date with changes to AI and suggesting improvements.
- Ensuring compliance with UK laws and regulations.
- Following procedures carefully and working methodically.
- Completing mandatory courses required by contract.
- Pursuing continuous self-improvement as guided by management.
- Using technology to meet objectives and grow professionally.
- Renewing SIA licences at least 16 weeks before they expire.
- Reporting health and safety risks immediately.
- Staying alert to changes in the environment and acting appropriately.
- Involving others if situations escalate.
- Remaining professional in difficult situations.
- Recording incidents clearly in notebooks and reporting them.
- Sticking to schedules and showing commitment to clients.
- Contacting emergency services and the communications centre when needed.
Requirements include:
- Must hold a valid Door Supervisor Licence.
- Previous experience in security is essential.
- Must be comfortable driving automatic and manual vehicles.
- Must be proficient in English speaking and writing.
