Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled professional to work as a Therapeutic Counsellor in a multidisciplinary team.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will provide ongoing therapeutic counselling, treatment and support to young people, develop and maintain appropriate referral pathways, and collaborate with other services in the Primary Care setting.
Our Focus:
We prioritize advocating on behalf of young people and providing them with holistic support. Our team includes experienced professionals who have a demonstrated understanding of mental health assessments, referrals, and coordination of care for young people.
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver focused therapeutic counselling and psychological interventions to young people using evidence-based practice
- Establish and maintain effective referral pathways
- Collaborate with other services in the Primary Care setting
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Counselling, Social work, Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy or similar
- Accreditation and registration with Medicare Benefit Schedule (MBS)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in providing therapeutic interventions to support young people's mental health, as well as their carers and families
