Job Summary

As a Lead Mechanical Supervisor at Bechtel Corporation, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled craftsmen and supervising the installation and alignment of rotating and static equipment. Your expertise in EPCM contract management and construction technologies will be essential in ensuring the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of craftsmen and supervise the installation and alignment of rotating and static equipment
  • Direct craft professional activities and work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development
  • Ensure that craftsmen have the necessary tools and equipment to perform their tasks efficiently and effectively
  • Monitor tool and equipment usage on the site and oversee the preparation of Field Material Requisitions
  • Ensure that construction operations performance is in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets
  • Work with Construction Field Engineers, Leading Hands, and Craft Professionals to interpret engineering design documents and vendor documents
Requirements
  • 10+ years of relevant field experience
  • Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Sound knowledge and experience in the installation and alignment of rotating and static equipment
  • Knowledge of EPCM contract management and construction technologies
  • Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to field activities
  • Familiarity with current industry quality standards
  • Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H) and a Zero Accident safety program
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced construction environment with exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions. This may include extensive walking, climbing ladders, working at heights, and use of personal fall arrest equipment.
