Strategic Payments Solutions Leader

This is a strategic leadership role for an experienced and visionary architect to design, deliver and evolve scalable, secure and innovative payment solutions.

  • The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in solution architecture within the payments and banking domains.
  • They will possess strong expertise with leading-edge technologies such as cloud platforms, web services, messaging protocols, tokenization, digital wallets and event-driven architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, Visa, Mastercard and UnionPay gateways along with strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Define and maintain target state architecture and roadmaps for Connex and related platforms.
  2. Lead solution design across card scheme operations, tokenisation, 3D Secure and digital wallets.
  3. Provide technical leadership for digital transformation initiatives using cloud-native technologies.
  4. Evaluate and integrate vendor solutions ensuring compliance with scheme certifications and security standards.
  5. Architect solutions using microservices, containerisation and ensure non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability and security are met.
  6. Mentor junior architects and contribute to architectural governance.
