Job Overview

This is a dual role in a newly developed offering, reporting to the Head of Corporate and Public Affairs Lead, and intersects with regional corporate affairs portfolios.

Main Responsibilities
  • Cybersecurity & Government Relations Advisory
  • Develop and execute advocacy strategies to influence positive reputations and outcomes among corporate and government stakeholders.
  • Build relationships with government officials, policymakers, industry associations and other key stakeholders to influence public policy and regulatory environments.
  • Lead crisis, issues and reputation management programmes.
  • Monitor business, economic, policy and regulatory developments; provide clients with insights and recommendations for navigating complex market landscapes.
Excellent Client Leadership
  • Develop and manage key client relationships as a trusted partner, evidenced by growing client revenues.
  • Build specialist understanding of the client's business, sector and competitive landscape; share insights across the team.
  • Lead delivery of high-quality solutions within agreed timeframes.
Business Development Initiatives
  • Help drive growth organically and through new business opportunities.
  • Understand products and services; identify stakeholders and experts to incorporate into client conversations.
  • Nurture relationships with client groups and industry peers; represent at relevant industry events.
Talent & Leadership Excellence
  • Demonstrate exemplary team leadership to support and inspire teams.
  • Empower mid-level and junior team members to deliver strong client results and business growth.
  • Be a positive role model for values and behaviours.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in public affairs and corporate communications with strong understanding of media relations, public policy and government relations; ability to run impactful campaigns.

  • Confidence in presenting and selling ideas, stories or solutions; ability to provide strategic counsel to senior stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to identify internal stakeholders for escalations.
