As part of our Bupa APAC Public Affairs team, you'll manage the delivery of enterprise-wide advocacy priorities, executing engagement strategies that enhance our corporate reputation and enable meaningful stakeholder collaboration. Your work will be instrumental in positioning our organisation as a trusted voice in the health sector and a proactive contributor to policy development.

Your work will be instrumental in positioning our organisation as a trusted voice in the health sector and a proactive contributor to policy development.

How will I help?
  • Support Bupa's commercial objectives, reputation and key business projects with the development of policy positions and a comprehensive stakeholder engagement program to deliver Bupa APAC's advocacy priorities and supporting wider efforts to improve public health and community outcomes.
  • Coordinate and undertake research and data analysis to underpin advocacy.
  • Develop and implement forward-looking plans, and prepare reports, briefs and other documents to support the implementation of Bupa APAC's Public Affairs work.
  • Support the Director Public Affairs in developing and delivering effective public affairs strategies for Bupa.
  • Delivery of high-quality public policy submissions on behalf of Bupa.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to build Bupa's reputation as a leader in healthcare.

What do I need?

To be successful in this role, you'll bring a degree-level qualification in political science, public policy, communications, legal or business, along with proven experience in public affairs, government and stakeholder relations. Your understanding of the public or private health sector will be key, as will your ability to build and maintain trusted relationships across a wide range of stakeholders. You'll be a confident communicator with strong research, writing and presentation skills, and a strategic thinker who can analyse complex policy issues and influence outcomes.

With a growth mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguity, you'll manage competing priorities with agility and professionalism. Your knowledge of health sector policy, regulatory frameworks, and the workings of government and political processes will enable you to contribute meaningfully to our advocacy efforts. Above all, you'll bring curiosity, initiative, and a commercial lens to problem-solving, helping us shape a healthier future.
