We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Blasting Technician to join our tight-knit, friendly, and high-performing technical team. The successful candidate will support our Snowy customer site by providing technical solutions on the application of blasting products and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing blasting projects to deliver value and innovation.
  • Collaborating with customers to prioritize and execute projects using Orica's global network of experts.
  • Building long-term partnerships and providing ongoing technical support.
  • Managing customer relationships and ensuring consistent engagement across key sites.
  • Taking ownership of results and continuously improving your technical knowledge and impact.

Requirements:

">
  • 5+ years of hands-on shotfiring and/or blasting technical services experience or a degree in mining engineering or a related discipline.
  • Solid understanding of underground mining operations and drill & blast processes.
  • Experience with Orica's i-kon blasting system is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team.
  • A proactive mindset focused on delivering value and continuous improvement.
  • Strong sense of accountability and customer partnership.
  • Eligibility to obtain a national police clearance.
