Job Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead drill and blast activities across multiple quarry sites in NSW. The role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant operations in line with statutory requirements, NSW regulations, and industry best practices.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement plans for drill and blast activities, coordinating efforts across multiple sites.
  • Lead a small team of direct reports, fostering strong relationships with contractors and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant NSW regulatory frameworks, blasting licences, and statutory requirements.
  • Manage contracts, tenders, and negotiations for drill and blast services.
  • Collaborate with Operations Managers and Quarry Managers to optimize performance and achieve business goals.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility through robust systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Qualifications:
  • Relevant qualifications in mining, extractive industries, or explosives management.
  • Proven experience in drill and blast management within quarries, mining, or civil operations.
  • Strong understanding of NSW legislation, safety standards, and environmental requirements relating to blasting.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing teams and influencing performance.
