We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aboriginal Health Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare service, you will play a vital role in providing primary health care services to Aboriginal individuals, families, and community groups.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, developing and implementing culturally responsive health programs that promote prevention, early intervention, comprehensive care, and care coordination.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Aboriginal Health Practitioner to make a real difference in the lives of our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing high-quality primary health care services to Aboriginal individuals, families, and community groups;
- Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans;
- Maintaining accurate and confidential client records;
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of policies and procedures;
- Engaging in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner;
- A Certificate IV or Diploma in Aboriginal Health;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment;
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
- Knowledge of current health issues impacting Aboriginal communities;
- Understanding of the principles of public health, including health education, health promotion, and disease prevention;
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of records and information;
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Relations, and Equal Employment Opportunity Legislation.
