Job Title: Community Engagement Coordinator

The primary objective of this role is to foster partnerships with sports clubs, community organisations, and key stakeholders to provide active and healthy opportunities across the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish strong relationships with sports clubs, community groups, and key stakeholders to promote active and healthy lifestyles.
  • Engage with the local community to identify and address their needs, providing tailored solutions to promote physical activity and well-being.
  • Coordinate stakeholder input and involvement in planning and delivering initiatives that benefit the community.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to achieve outcomes that benefit the community.
  • Collaborate as part of a team, demonstrating strong written communication and presentation skills.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience working in outdoor sporting and recreation facilities or a related field.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with sports clubs, community groups, and key stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to achieve outcomes that benefit the community.
  • Proven ability to coordinate stakeholder input and involvement in project delivery.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented, with a strong commitment to promoting active and healthy lifestyles.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills, with experience preparing project plans, engagement plans, reports, and correspondence based on evidence-based research and data.
  • Degree or diploma in sport and recreation administration, or equivalent relevant experience working with sporting and recreation clubs and school groups.
