Job Title: Community Engagement Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative professional to join our team as a Community Engagement Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver engaging strategies that increase our community's participation in library services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our digital channels, including website, social media, events calendar and e-newsletters. They will also design promotional collateral for library activities, events, programs, reports and collections using Adobe Creative Suite.

This role involves driving enhanced community engagement by increasing set benchmarks to identified targets. The successful candidate will identify and support relevant cross-promotional opportunities within the team, department and wider organisation.

Liaising with our programs and collections teams, you will develop and distribute promotional materials to the community. This includes planning and distributing member attraction, promotional and event materials to key locations for maximum attraction and visibility.

You will also support library coordinators in the planning, development and delivery of targeted promotional campaigns using sponsored social media, analytic tools and other outreach initiatives.

In this role, you will represent us on the Public Libraries Victoria Marketing, Advocacy & Engagement Special Interest Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement online engagement strategies to increase community participation in library services.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communication, Advertising or Media studies with little or no experience; or lesser formal qualifications with work skills and relevant experience in a similar role in a library or community setting.
  • Current driver's licence.
