Community Engagement Coordinator Job Summary

This is a key support function that enables the delivery of engaging community event experiences. The Community Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in planning and executing a portfolio of events each school year, including community social events and parent engagement activities.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Fostering relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for collaboration and event development.
  • Providing administrative support for communications processes, regulatory compliance, document tracking, and reporting within the Parents' Association Support Office.

Maintaining filing systems, entering data into various systems, drafting reports, supporting department and parent meetings, monitoring volunteer training processes, and ordering office supplies are some of the essential duties and responsibilities.

Additional tasks include acting as a second point of contact for logistical elements of events, ensuring adequate resource management, coordinating event debriefs to identify areas for process improvement, and implementing changes where necessary.

A successful candidate will possess excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, high digital competency, strong people skills, and professional communication skills (written and spoken). A minimum of 2 years administration and/or events experience is also required.
