About the Role

This is a commercial analyst role where you will plan, propose and deliver active commercial analytics to assist with achieving sustainable growth in line with the overall business strategy.

This is a Tuggeranong, Canberra based role with work from home options, reporting to Manager - Commercial.

Scope of Role

  • Prepare month-end commentary for executive management
  • Prepare weekly revenue forecasts in a timely manner
  • Prepare quarterly/yearly operating budgets, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Analyse transactions and prepare correction entries to ensure accurate reporting
  • Prepare monthly intercompany transactions, providing guidance on accounting treatment
  • Responsible for the calculation and reporting of commissions
  • Analyse revenue variances each month, ensuring that all accrued revenue has been invoiced
  • Analyse and reconcile P&L accounts and identify monthly variances
  • Prepare expense accruals, ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of estimates and accrual journals
  • Provide financial support to management to assist in the development of organisation strategy

About You

You will ideally be working in a similar position with exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management. You possess a degree in finance/accounting, or at least 3-5 years' experience in a commercial environment.

Key skills and experience include:

  • Qualified/part qualified CA or CPA or degree qualified in a business discipline, preferably finance
  • Proficient in Excel and Power BI
  • Knowledge of ERP financial modules, preferably TM1 and Microsoft Dynamics
