About the Role

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our finance team as a Senior Hotel Accountant.

This is a three-month fixed-term contract based in Darwin, offering the potential to transition to a long-term opportunity for the right candidate, focusing on departmental performance and financial excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • To complete month-end and year-end closing journals and compile financial reports for management.
  • To ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of bank statements and all related financial reports.
  • To prepare quarterly GST submission and manage corporate tax compilation and submission.
  • Supervise the finance team, recruit and develop staff, and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Develop and deliver staff training and manage team performance.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Accounting or Finance (minimum required).
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role within hospitality/finance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and accounting systems.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
