We are seeking a talented and ambitious individual to join our team as an entry-level Construction Inspector/Engineer. This exciting role will involve reviewing plans, observing construction activity, tracking progress, and performing basic material testing. You will work closely with contractors, designers, utility companies, and local residents to develop strong communication and teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect construction work on transportation and utility projects to ensure compliance with standards.
- Work collaboratively with project teams to track progress and support accurate payments.
- Perform basic material testing to ensure quality and durability.
- Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Office, Appia, SiteManager, and Bluebeam to document and manage project details.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support project success and gain exposure to various aspects of the construction process.
- Recent or soon-to-be graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and willingness to take on new challenges.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in the field.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, and standards.
- Interest in learning construction administration software like AASHTOWare Project and/or Appia.
- Familiarity with or enthusiasm for Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Bluebeam.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and able to perform physical tasks.
