We are seeking a highly skilled Security Design Consultant to join our expanding Crisis and Security Consulting practice in Australia Pacific (Auspac). As a key member of our team, you will support and contribute to the delivery and growth of Control Risks' Security Design Practice across the region.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to identifying new opportunities, developing proposals, and presenting to prospective clients and stakeholders.
- Develop project plans, travel to client sites, and offices as required.
- Attend weekly meetings with project stakeholders, take detailed minutes, and ensure all actions related to our discipline are addressed.
- Deliver security design consultancy assignments, ranging from simple to complex tasks.
- Draft design stage documents, including technical specifications, power loads calculations, and tender evaluation reports.
- Stay up-to-date with advances in security technology.
- Complete assigned tasks within given timeframes.
- Participate in onsite inspections and testing & commissioning.
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a security design professional or in a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD 2D design, with the ability to deliver design layouts that meet our internal standards.
- A solid understanding of design engineering elements.
- A proven track record of successful security design consultancy projects, preferably in Asia or similar environments.
- A good understanding of project design stages, including Conceptual Design, Developed Design, Technical Design, etc.
- Knowledge and experience in designing and implementing integrated electronic security systems and physical security measures, including:
- Video surveillance systems.
- Access control systems.
- Intruder detection systems.
- Intercommunications systems.
- Security fences, gates, barriers, locking systems, and secure rooms.
- Working knowledge of local security equipment rooms, main security equipment rooms, and control rooms.
- A good understanding of building a dedicated secure security network, considering network bandwidth and cybersecurity requirements.
- Knowledge of well-known security management systems, such as Genetec and Gallagher.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Demonstrable experience in applying risk management methodologies, including ISO 22301, ISO 31000, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.
- An Engineering degree in electronics and electrical engineering or communications is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proficiency in project management tools, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
- Strong commercial expertise, analytical skills, leadership, and client management skills.
- Effective decision-making and judgment.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Assertiveness and drive, with strong influencing skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- IT literacy, including MS Office packages and advanced Excel.
