Due to the retirement of a long-standing member of staff, the exciting and diverse role of HSEQ Officer has become available. The role will be involved in operations around Australia while based in Adelaide and with only occasional travel. A comprehensive handover will be provided to the successful applicant and a generous salary is on offer for this career-making role.

The HSEQ Officer is responsible for overseeing health, safety, environmental, and quality systems to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, company standards, and industry best practices. This role plays a key part in fostering a strong safety culture and continuous improvement across all areas of operations.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Health & Safety

• Compliance with health and safety legislation and internal policies.
• Incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Risk assessments and site audits
• Oversee Safety training and culture
• Environmental compliance in line with local, national, and international regulations.
• Develop and maintain procedures to minimize environmental impact.
• Monitor and report environmental performance metrics

Quality

• Oversee the quality management system (e.g. ISO 9001)
• Internal audits

We are seeking an applicant with strong communication skills and experience in a similar role in all facets of health and safety, quality and environment. A formal qualification would be valued but not essential. Good potential leadership skills, computing skills and the ability to solve problems while managing multiple tasks are valued traits for this role.
