Job Summary

This is a Senior Network Engineer role with a focus on network automation. The position will play a pivotal role in mid to large-scale network security operations teams.

The ideal candidate will have intermediate to professional knowledge in coding/scripting, specifically Python, and experience with DevOps tools such as BitBucket, Jenkins, JIRA, GitHub, Terraform, and Vault.

They will also possess expertise in network security, including the ability to tackle complex network challenges, and have experience with F5 load balancers, Juniper SRX firewalls, Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, and VMware NSX.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation, configuration, and upgrade of hardware, systems, and software for networks.
  • Management of network and security performance by monitoring, troubleshooting, reporting, and continuous improvement to optimize performance.
  • Identification, analysis, and management of risk at every aspect of work.
  • Securing network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, defining and monitoring access.
  • Undertaking project design and architecture work, including high-level and detailed design.
  • Providing technical consultation to business and technology stakeholders to support relevant infrastructure partners and other business stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Coding skills: Python scripting/coding (intermediate) - primary importance.
  • DevOps tools skills: BitBucket, Jenkins, JIRA, GitHub, Terraform, Vault.
  • Network security: operational expertise in the networking domain, showcasing ability to tackle complex network challenges. Experience with F5 load balancer, GTM/LTM, Firewalls - Juniper SRX, Fortinet FortiGate, VMware (now Broadcom) NSX.
  • Data management skills: data collection, schema binding, data manipulation, and analytical skills.
