Furthermore, successful candidates will need to implement Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) as required to ensure participant safety and wellbeing.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver person-centered support based on participant goals and care plans
  • Confidently implement restrictive practices and BSP strategies
  • Support daily living, emotional regulation, and social engagement for participants
  • Maintain accurate shift documentation and incident reporting where necessary
  • Collaborate within a team to uphold quality, safety, and dignity in care provision

Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 months' experience in mental health and disability support
  • Proven ability to implement restrictive practices and follow BSPs
  • Relevant qualifications such as Certificate III or IV in Disability, Mental Health or related field, with extensive experience

Desirable Qualifications:

Preferences are given to candidates with mental health peer support or trauma-informed care training.
