Community Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Development Officer to join our team at headspace Mount Druitt. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 12-25 with mild to moderate mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement community engagement strategies to promote headspace services and raise awareness about mental health.
- Build strong relationships with local schools, youth organizations, and councils to create engaging spaces and programs for young people.
- Facilitate social spaces, including running breakfast clubs, art, and music activities for young people.
- Engage with local communities to promote headspace services and drive referrals from various sources.
- Participate in team meetings, share insights from community engagement, and report on community trends.

About You- Experience in facilitating community development initiatives, with sound knowledge of mental health.
- Passionate about supporting young people and improving mental health outcomes in the community.
- Excellent communication and networking skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the local area and community connections is a strong advantage.
