Community Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Community Development Coordinator to join our team at headspace Mount Druitt. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 12-25 with mild to moderate mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement community development initiatives to promote mental health and wellbeing among young people.
- Build and maintain relationships with local schools, youth organizations, and councils to promote headspace services.
- Design and deliver engaging programs and activities for young people, including social spaces, art, and music activities.
- Promote headspace services and drive referrals from various sources, including schools, GPs, and self-referrals.
- Participate in team meetings and share insights from community engagement to inform program development.

About You- Experience in community development, mental health, or a related field.
- Passion for supporting young people and improving mental health outcomes in the community.
- Excellent communication and networking skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the local area and community connections is a strong advantage.
