Job Title: Business Development Specialist

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong client relationships in the food and agribusiness sector. Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional support to account managers, ensuring the smooth execution of client requests, and managing branch prudential management tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive support to account managers in developing new business opportunities and managing existing client accounts.
  • Serve as an additional formal point of contact for clients and client advisors, ensuring timely responses to their queries.
  • Oversee the entire process from client request to settlement, guaranteeing seamless execution.
  • Initiate all associated branch prudential management tasks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough Compliance Due Diligence (CDD) risk analysis in Anti-Money Laundering/Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) and Know Your Client (KYC) requirements.
  • Perform day-to-day operational tasks related to client accounts, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Engage in the preparation of loan applications, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Interpret and execute branch prudential management tasks, taking proactive measures to prevent potential issues.
  • Monitor loan arrears and accounts in excess, taking appropriate commercial and prudential actions to mitigate risks.
  • Develop and foster strong working relationships with all key stakeholders, including clients, colleagues, and external partners.
Requirements:
  • A proven interest in food and agribusiness, with previous experience in a similar role.
  • A client-focused approach with a positive attitude, delivering exceptional service and building long-term relationships.
  • Effective team collaboration skills, with the ability to work seamlessly across departments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear and concise messaging.
  • Banking experience is advantageous but not essential, making this an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or those looking to transition into a new field.
  • A valid work permit, ensuring eligibility to work in the country.
