Production Geologist Opportunity

We are seeking a Production Geologist to join our team in Perth.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a production geologist with recent experience supporting operated assets, including end-to-end static reservoir modelling, reservoir characterisation, and in-place volume estimation. Success requires leveraging deep technical expertise and practical skills to deliver robust, fit-for-purpose outputs.

You will support world-class, operated, integrated gas assets within the company. This key technical position involves collaboration within a multidisciplinary team of production geologists, reservoir engineers, production technologists, and petrophysicists. You will report to the subsurface manager and work closely with the team, subject matter experts, and technical assurers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Leverage reservoir modelling skills to assist with the generation and maintenance of field reservoir models.
  • Provide reservoir modelling support for resource assessments, forecasting, and reservoir management.
  • Deliver reservoir characterisation studies integrating all static and dynamic data.
  • Contribute geological elements for ongoing well operations, including HSSE-critical activities.
  • Assist in identifying and maturing incremental gas opportunities.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary engagements such as framing events, review sessions, and peer discussions.
  • Collaborate across teams and stakeholders locally and globally.
  • Work effectively within a diverse, experienced team.
  • Maintain high standards in Production Geology and contribute to discipline forums.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have extensive experience as a Production Geologist in the hydrocarbon industry with a successful project track record. You should also have reservoir modelling experience using Petrel or similar software, including uncertainty management and seismic interpretation, preferably in West Australian clastic reservoirs.

In addition, you should have experience with integrated reservoir characterisation studies, strong data management skills, and openness to new workflows and efficiencies. You should be a reliable, enthusiastic professional committed to continuous learning and adaptation, with high integrity, transparency, and a learner mindset.

You will also need excellent communication and presentation skills, with leadership ability in engagements. A minimum qualification of a university degree or equivalent in geoscience is required.
