Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to drive city-shaping initiatives across a range of key functions, including integrated planning and reporting, strategic planning for open space, catchments, recreation, biodiversity and transport, as well as asset and capital works planning, transformational capital projects, and oversight of the Project Management Office (PMO).

This pivotal role will oversee the coordination and delivery of our Integrated Planning and Reporting (IPR) suite, lead strategic planning for city outcomes across open space, catchments, recreation, biodiversity, and transport, guide the planning and design of major city-shaping projects including public spaces and civic infrastructure, oversee coordinated planning and long-term management of our asset portfolio, manage forward planning and budgeting for our capital works program, and lead the Project Management Office (PMO) and champion continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

You will have a Tertiary qualification in Urban Planning, Engineering, Asset Management, Public Policy, or a related field. Strong experience in developing and implementing strategic plans or policies that achieve long-term outcomes is essential.

We are looking for someone with excellent leadership and project management skills, who can develop and implement strategic plans or policies that achieve long-term outcomes, drive integrated planning and reporting processes, and lead strategic planning for city outcomes. You should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be able to communicate complex ideas effectively, and have a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
