About the Role

Economic Development Queensland is seeking a highly skilled Business Partnering Manager to join its Business Operations team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of EDQ's asset portfolio, budget, forecasting, cash management, financial modelling and reporting requirements.

As a key member of the Business Partnering team, you will provide strategic and operational advice to the Chief Executive Officer, Executive Director - Business Operations and Executive Management group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve EDQ's long-term financial objectives.
  • Coordinate the development and monitoring of the annual budget process, ensuring accurate capture of business issues and strategies.
  • Lead the input, review and analysis of the EDQ budget model, presenting consolidated financial forecasts.
  • Prepare financial reports for the Economic Development Board, EDQ Investment Committee and Audit, Risk and Performance Committee.
  • Critically assess project feasibilities, business cases, development projects and infrastructure programs.
  • Undertake analysis and monitoring of EDQ's asset portfolio, determining benchmark returns and identifying strategies for efficient long-term investment and risk allocation.
  • Provide commercial advice on proposed transaction structures and delivery approach.
  • Support the Director Business Partnering, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director Business Operations with financial advice, analysis and information.
