Hse Approvals Coordinator Job Description

Our organization seeks an experienced professional to assume the role of HSE Approvals Coordinator. This position plays a pivotal part in our environmental regulatory approvals and permits, conducting environment reviews, managing plans of operations and estimated rehabilitation costs. The successful candidate will be instrumental in advocating for positive environmental legislation, policy, and statutory settings, ensuring the business remains informed about relevant changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Environmental Regulatory Approvals: Support the delivery of environmental regulatory approvals and permits, environment reviews, and plan of operations.
  • Compliance Improvement: Identify, recommend, and implement efficiencies in the administration of regulatory approvals.
  • Stakeholder Support: Provide support and advice to internal and external stakeholders, promoting environmental awareness and compliance.
  • Collaboration: Work with industry peers to share best practices and address common issues.
  • Legislation Monitoring: Keep the business updated on changes to environmental regulations, legislation, policy, and guidelines.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

We are looking for a highly organized individual with strong interpersonal skills, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience in a role dealing with Environmental Statutory approvals in the resources sector, as well as a degree in Environmental Science, Planning, Law, or a related field. A solid understanding of State and Federal environmental legislation and policies, and international standards relating to impact assessment is also essential.
