Linguistic Expert for Life Sciences

We are seeking a skilled Linguistic Expert to join our team. As a key member of our life sciences organization, you will be responsible for interpreting written material in a way that maintains the structure and style of the original text while ensuring accuracy.
You will be fluent in two or more languages and possess strong research skills to find industry-specific terminology. Your commitment to quality and accuracy is essential, as well as your ability to solve problems when faced with difficult content and instruction.
This role requires a strategic partner who can deliver translations on time and meet our quality commitments to clients. You will also be responsible for proofreading translated texts for terminology, grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Native speaker in Japanese
- Fluency in English
- At least 3 years of experience translating, reviewing, and editing life sciences content, including clinical trial documents
- A tertiary or university degree in translation or linguistics and at least 3 years of translation experience OR no university degree and at least 5 years of translation experience
- Experience with translation management systems and CAT tools
