We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Collaboration Expert to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Director and other senior leaders to drive the growth and evolution of our Collaboration Program.

The successful candidate will have a strong leadership background and excellent collaboration skills, including the ability to lead, design, and facilitate collaborative workshops that address complex organisational problems.

We offer a competitive salary package, including $124,931 per annum (pro rata), plus 15.4% superannuation and flexible working conditions appropriate to the level of the position.

As a Strategic Collaboration Expert, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing relationships with senior executives across the department and Australian Border Force (ABF)
  • Building collaboration capability by coaching and mentoring junior members of the team
  • Managing and planning strategic priorities, workflow, and performance of others
  • Developing and implementing initiatives to support continuous improvement and excellence in service delivery

You will also have the opportunity to work on a range of projects, including designing and facilitating collaborative workshops, coaching others in best practice, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Stakeholder engagement skills
  • Leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills
  • An understanding of contemporary collaboration methodologies and techniques
