Nurse/Midwifery Unit Manager Role

This is a permanent part-time job-share position, offering 4 days per week. As the Nurse/Midwifery Unit Manager, you will lead a diverse department incorporating maternity services, paediatric elective surgery, and general surgery with a strong focus on women's health.

About the Job

You will provide both operational and clinical leadership to ensure exceptional patient care and safe service delivery, while driving efficiency and fostering a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Clinical Leadership: Promote excellence in patient-centred care, oversee clinical risk management and participate in accreditation processes.
  • Administrative Management: Oversee financial, human, and equipment resources within the unit and maintain workforce profiles.
  • Strategic & Team Development: Lead with integrity, promote a collaborative work culture, and contribute to service planning to maintain care standards.

To succeed in this role, you must have a proven track record of leadership experience as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife, with strong interpersonal, team leadership, and change management skills.
