We are partnering with a dynamic Not-For-Profit that is dedicated to fostering positive community impacts across Australia. As a key player in their sector, we are in search of a meticulous and experienced Purchasing Manager to enhance our team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Comprehensive Procurement Oversight: Manage the complete procurement lifecycle, ensuring precision and thoroughness at every phase.
  • Supplier Engagement: Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with suppliers, focusing on quality, delivery efficiency, and cost management.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Examine sales trends, inventory movements, and pertinent data to uncover patterns, identify needs, and address gaps in product offerings.
  • Strategic Sourcing Development: Formulate and execute detailed sourcing plans for alternative suppliers or new product lines, aligning with existing procurement guidelines.
  • Cost Management: Oversee the complete supply chain costing for all procured items, ensuring clarity on the actual costs involved.
  • Budget Oversight: Track monthly expenditures against the budget, perform in-depth cost evaluations, and suggest strategies for cost reduction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated experience in a Purchasing Manager role within the Food or Manufacturing sectors.
  • Prior experience in food procurement is highly advantageous.
  • In-depth understanding of procurement methodologies, MRP, CRP, and advanced forecasting techniques.
  • Exceptional analytical capabilities, with proficiency in interpreting and presenting comprehensive reports.
  • Strong leadership qualities, with a history of collaborating with and reporting to senior management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective engagement with suppliers, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Valid driver's license.
