
Anaesthesia Development Specialist

The primary purpose of an Anaesthesia Trainee is to deliver high-quality anaesthesia care in complex clinical environments.
This will be done under supervision, appropriate to the level of training of the applicant, and in line with recommendations of the training program of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) or as part of the CICM or ACEM training programme or Diploma of Rural Generalist Anaesthesia, where this is applicable.
Trainees are expected to extend their knowledge and skills in managing anaesthesia across multiple subspecialty areas of anaesthesia in order to meet professional standards set by ANZCA. They are required to deliver anaesthesia, perioperative care, and pain management services inside and outside the operating rooms and to perform other duties during rotations to other areas as directed.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver anaesthesia care in complex clinical environments
- Participate in training programs, including ANZCA, CICM, ACEM, and Diploma of Rural Generalist Anaesthesia
- Extend knowledge and skills in managing anaesthesia across multiple subspecialty areas
- Deliver anaesthesia, perioperative care, and pain management services
- Perform other duties during rotations to other areas as directed
- Proficiency in anaesthesia techniques and practices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment
